BSA Troop 303 took 13 scouts, Eric Niconovich, Davis Gabriel, Cory Powell, Trey Greer, Michael Pierce, Woody Martin, Anthony Bennett, Danny Niconoviah, Jesse Bagwell, Samuel Roys, Nathan Loftis, Paul Falk, and Tucker Martin, on an introduction-backpacking trek from Springer Mountain to Hightower Gap. Scouts enjoyed camping along Long Creek. Highlights included Long Creek Falls, the southern starting point of the Appalachian Trail (Springer Mountain), and enjoying the great outdoors with friends. Dahlonega Baptist Church and Lumpkin Family Connection are the sponsors Troop 303.
