Boy Scout Troop 303 Go To Woodruff Scout Reservation
Dahlonega, GA June 3rd-9th – BSA Troop 303 took 15 local Scouts to enjoy the summer programs at Camp Woodruff. Troop 303 participated in the following outdoor learning sessions during the week: Mountain Man Program, Orienteering, Rifle Shooting, Canoeing, Water Skiing, Sailing, Archery, Communications, Swimming, Personal Fitness, Engineering, Archaeology, Pottery, Environmental Science, First Aid, Citizen of World, and Citizen of Nation.
The troop enjoyed a rafting trip down the Nanthahala River on Tuesday, the Iron Man Challenge on Thursday morning, building a three-rope bridge, climbing on the COPE course and climbing tower, playing Ultimate Frisbee, and having cracker-barrels with other troops from different states. During the week Troop 303, sponsored by Dahlonega Baptist Church, earned the “2007 Honor Troop Award”.
Scouts who participated were: Samuel Roys, Nick Gooch, Woody Martin, Tucker Martin, Danny Niconovich, Davis Gabriel, Nathan Loftis, Eric Niconovich, Cory Powell, Trey Greer, Jesse Bagwell, Michael Pierce, Brandon Zeller, Anthony Bennett and Paul Falk, Jr.
