Announcements:
- The idea of meeting on Monday Nights during the Summer Months is being discussed (June and July). If you interested, email Martha Passman <mpassman@windstream.net>.
- Parent Evaluations. We would like to hear you thoughts. Please complete a troop evaluations attached and return it to the Scoutmaster.
- Please continue to remember Davis in your prayers.
- June 1 at 6:30pm: Parent meeting & Troop Committee Meeting at Scout Hut (Dad’s, we need you to volunteer to lead an outing next year.)
- Thanks to Jennifer Head & Allyson Davis for leading the May 16 Orienteering Event at Dukes Creek.

Troop 303 Calendar for 2010
- May 30, Troop Mountain Bike Trek on Montgomery Creek Loop
- June 1 at 6:30pm: Parent meeting & Troop Committee Meeting at Scout Hut (Dad’s, we need you to volunteer to lead an outing next year.)
- An overnight camping trip is being planned for Thursday June 3- Friday June 4 2010 to Raven’s Cliff Falls, Chattahoochee National Forest.
Cost: Free

Plans are to leave the Dahlonega Baptist Church on Thursday June 3 at 11:30 am and return to the church on Friday June 4 by 2 pm. This is a primitive campground that we will need to hike to, so be aware as you pack your gear, there is no access to drive down and unload. The fee for this camp is $20.

Boy Scout Troop 303 Attend Scout Day At the Capital
ahlonega, GA March 12 – BSA Troop 303 took the fifteen scouts to explore the State Capital during the 8th Annual Boy Scout Day at the State Capitol. Rep. Ehrhart, Rep. Marian, Sen. Pearson, Sen. Johnny Grant make their remarks. We visit the Senate and House (Gallery), took a photo with Governor, toured the Capital building, working on a scavenger hunt of Georgia’s facts in the Museum, had Chick-fil-a lunch in the Capital, and participated in an question and answer sessions with legislators and cadets from West Point Academy and Naval Academy.

Boy Scout Troop 303 Attended Fall Camp-O-Ree
Dahlonega, GA OCTOBER 12th-14th – BSA Troop 303 took nine scouts to participate in the Etowah District Boy Scout Fall Camp-O-Ree in Dawsonville, hosted by Troop 39. Some of the outdoor events at the Klondike Derby included:
- Sled Construction
- Scout Dog Sled Race
- Snow Blindness
- Send for the Doctor (Signaling for help & 1st Aid)
- Gold Panning
- Find the Geezers Gold (Compass Work)
- Man through the Ice (Fire building, 1st Aid, and shelter building)
- Crossing the River (Building a Monkey Building)
- Norwegian Cross Country Skiing Race
- Stake Your Claim (Lashing & Pole Building)
- Klondike Bar eating contest (Scoutmaster/Senior Patrol Leader)
Troop 303, sponsored by Dahlonega Baptist Church and Lumpkin Family Connection, took 1st place in the Snow Blindness event, a group communication challenge. Troop 303 had a wonderful time competing against the other troops from the North Georgia Area. Scouts who participated this weekend were: Davis Gabriel, Cory Powell, Trey Greer, Anthony Bennett, Paul Falk, Jesse Bagwell, Andrew Swain, Phoenix Hansen and Jacob Walden.
Boy Scout Troop 303 Attends Fall Camp-O-Ree
Dahlonega, GA NOVEMBER 17th-19th – BSA Troop 303 took 14 scouts to participate in the Etowah District Boy Scout Fall Camp-O-Ree at Scoutland, hosted by Troop 457. Some of the BSA Olympics outdoor events included: Obstacle Course Relay, Equestrian event (without horses), BSA javelin, Scout/ Scoutmaster shot put, also known as scout’s revenge, Scoutmaster/Senior Patrol Leader pie eating contest, swimming, and lots more.
Troop 303, sponsored by Dahlonega Baptist Church and Lumpkin Family Connection, took 2nd place in the swimming event and 3rd place in the shot put event. The troop had a wonderful time competing against the other troops from the North Georgia Area.
Scouts who participated this weekend were: Eric Niconovich, Davis Gabriel, Cory Powell, Trey Greer, Michael Pierce, Woody Martin, Anthony Bennett, Nick Gooch, Danny Niconoviah, Richard Hinde, Jesse Bagwell, John Garner, Tyler Mroczka, and Tucker Martin.
