Troop 303 has many Eagle Scouts, the following are Troop 303′s Eagle Scouts

  • Roger C. (Trey) Greer - October 23, 2009 – Trey built four bench swings at Yahoola Creek Park
  • Josiah Mihok – January 19, 2009 – Josiah’s Eagle project took place at Yahoola Creek Trail, where he organized and led his peers to construct trail markers & signs.
  • Will Passman – January 19, 2009 – Will’s Eagle project took place at Camp Glisson, where he organized and led his peers to construct a 16 foot by 10 foot sleeping deck for summer campers.
  • Cory Powell – March 27, 2008 – Cory led a crew of volunteers and scouts that built picnic tables for the Chestatee Wildlife Preserve. Charities such as church groups needed places to sit when they got tired or threw parties at this preserve.
  • Joshua Mihok – March 22, 2007 – Joshua led a grounds improvements/ historical preservation project at the Dahlonega-Lumpkin County Wimpy Airport.
  • Lucas C. Stockton – September 28, 2006 – Lucas designed and led in the construction of a pavilion in the “Pit” at the Lumpkin Middle School to be utilized by students of ropes course and other activities on the field.
  • Daniel Raymond Chaput – September 28, 2006 – Daniel led a grounds improvements and landscaping project at the Lumpkin County High School for the ROTC program.
  • Benjamin H. Hawk – January 4, 2005 – Ben planned and led in the development of a land navigation course at Lumpkin County High School for the ROTC program.
  • James C. Chaput – August 3, 2004 – James led in the design and development a wooden walking bridge between cabins for Wahsega 4H Center.

  • Marcus Hawk – February 21, 2002 – Marcus designed and led in the building of storage shelves for the Dahlonega Baptist Church.
  • Norman Arthur Chaput – November 11, 2001 – Arthur led and built seven reading lofts at Long Branch Elementary School.
  • Joshua Ethan Laird – October 22, 1992
  • Christopher Joseph Wood – July 16, 1992 – Chris constructed a 24 foot bridge, a 16 foot boardwalk and one half mile of improved trail on the Dockery Lake/Miller Gap Trail, a part of the Chestatee Ranger District.
  • Kelso Crowder Horne, III – December 15, 1988 – Casey led and established the Vial of Life Program as a part of the general health care system in Lumpkin County.

  • Sean Richard Truax – May 21, 1987 – Sean helped the City of Dahlonega with it’s “Clean Community” campaign. He did this in two phases. The First was to organize clean-up around the city. The second phase was to have a radio ad contest to find which student could write the best clean community ad. WDGR radio put the winning ads on the air.
