Thanks for a great rehearsal tonight guys, I think we are almost ready for our big gig next week. Please continue to practice on your own this week, and remember to bring your instrument, music, and stand to next Monday’s scout meeting at 6:00. We will have a full dress rehearsal in Hancock Park on the stage during the meeting. Try to focus on the Star Spangled Banner, but don’t forget the Relay For Life on May 11th. There we will be unleashing as much music as we can. If there are some of you that would like to perform a duet, Trio, Quartet, or Quintet, just let me know so we can go over the music.

I apologize to those of you that may feel limited by the music we are learning, and I promise I will get more challenging songs for you in the near future.  I feel that we should learn the basics together before we really get to the good stuff. If you have any ideas for music, please let me know and we’ll try to get it added to our repertoire.

For those of you that may feel overwhelmed at this point, hang in there, we will get you some extra help as soon as these gigs are out of the way.

We have one week left to sale BSA discount cards.  Please remember to bring all money you’ve collected from card sales with you tonight. Also,  any cards that you do not plan to sale this next week need to be back tonight.

CRCT’s begin tomorrow so we would like to get everyone home at a decent hour and we’ll try and break our meeting at 7:30 tonight.  Please make sure you are at the Scout Hut by 7:30 to pick-up your Scout.

Meeting Notes:
Camp cards were distributed to each Scout in attendance. The cards sell for $10 each and the Scout earns $4 for each one he sells. Cards or money must be turned in! If you lose your cards, you will be expected to pay $100 (the cost of the 10 cards issued to each Scout). To minimize loss, Mr. Scotty asked that you turn in the money each week for the cards you have sold that week. If you need more cards, contact Mr. Scotty so he can get them.

March 26 will be both Scoutmaster Conferences and Boards of Review. Scouts needing a SMC or a Board must sign up on the Board prior to March 26. Scouts must be in full Class A uniform (including pants and shirt) for all SMCs and Boards.

TASTE of the Mountains is March 29. Anyone who signed up to work please be sure you arrive on time in Class A uniform.

Pack 357 Crossover will also be March 29. If you are not working at TASTE, it is requested that you attend the crossover. Please e-mail Mr. Scotty if you can help. Crossover will be held at Uncle Shuck’s Corn Maze at 7:00PM.

March 31-April 1 PowWow Fundraiser – an email went out to theTroop on Tuesday, March 20 with sign up information. Please respond to this email as soon as possible. Adults are also needed and will receive credit for time spent working.

Summer camp is a great way for your scout to work toward earning merit badges and work toward rank requirements. The boys always have a wonderful time and they create memories and friendships that last a lifetime. Last year the boys got to meet with a scout troop from Uganda. It was an experience they will never forget.
